Happy New You!

Updated: Jan 15, 2020

Happy New You! Refresh your look this year.

The new year is synonymous with so many things – diets, resolutions, goals and fresh starts for all. One of the most important things a person can do to help set themselves up for a quality and successful year is making sure they look good and feel good. Now, what we know about looking good and feeling good that they are often directly related. One of the easiest ways to help make sure you feel your best is to make sure you look the way you truly want to look.

Often times, we find ourselves noticing something we’ve never seen before and instead of immediately addressing it, we dwell on it. Use the new year to ring in the NEW YOU! Refreshing your look may be easier than you think. Believe it or not, it doesn’t have to require a complicated procedure, general anesthesia and/or weeks of healing. Here are a few options…

BOTOX, Xeomin or Dysport:

One of the easiest and most popular cosmetic treatments is injectables. Neuromodulators (BOTOX, Xeomin and Dysport) are used to relax certain muscles in the face to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They are generally used to soften lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), between the eyes, and lines on the forehead. Dr. Azzi also loves performing liquid brow lifts on his patients using neuromodulators. It’s a great way to refresh the eye area. The results will typically last 3-6 months before another treatment is required.

Fillers:

Fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero, Voluma, Radiesse, Sculptra and more are used for patients who are concerned about a loss of volume or deeper lines and wrinkles. Common filler areas are nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheeks, tear trough, lips, vertical lip lines, chin, acne scars, and more. At The Palm Beach Center for Facial Plastic & Laser Surgery, Dr. Jean-Paul Azzi is an expert in all types of fillers, and unlike other spas and cosmetic offices, uses only the highest quality products and does not use discounted products from outside of the United States. Lip Lift:

Small enhancements to the lips has the ability to completely transform a person’s entire look. Sometimes, to feel good we just need a little change. Something to make us feel new again. A Lip Lift addresses the small area of skin between the lip and the nose. It is extremely specialized and takes about 30 minutes. Dr. Azzi is one of very few plastic surgeons who are trained to perform this type of specialized procedure. “Often times all people need is 5mm or so more ‘cupid’s bow’ to complete their makeover,” Dr. Azzi explained. Submental Liposuction:

Addressing any sagging or stubborn fat under the chin can really have an impact on a person’s look. Submental liposuction or microliposculpture aims to redefine the jawline and decrease the appearance of jowls. It addresses fatty tissue under the chin, beneath the jowl, and along the upper portion of the neck. During submental liposuction, the fatty tissue is suctioned away using very small mini-cannulas and a special sculpting technique. This particular type of liposuction is ideal for people with a “double-chin.” It’s also ideal for younger people who have mass areas of fat under the chin.
